Can they legally carry in parks in AZ? Can't tell from the news report, he may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time and never had a chance?

Sheeple can't seem to grasp that in today's world, a BG doesn't need a reason or motive to shoot anyone, anywhere, anytime.

They did not give a cause of death in the article posted by the OP, saying only that the victim suffered severe trauma.

According to Gary Slider's site (handgunlaw.us), park carry in Arizona is just fine (either with or without a permit). That is, parks are not listed among the places a licensee can't carry.

Surely Arizona has pre-emption. If so and the park is not privately owned, I don't believe the city can legally post it no-carry.

I'm glad here ther STATE made it so no city, county, etc. could post anything other than a building ... no parks, etc.

I'm sure the victim believed he was safe, due to his age and the fact that he doesn't bother anyone during his walks.

Unfortunately, Inspector71 hit the nail right on the head.

Today, scumbags don't need a reason to commit murder & mayhem anywhere they go. There are losers so sick, that all they have to do is see you, and they will kill you just for the thrill of it. A person literally doesn't have to do anything to be a victim of this breed of scum. It's a shame, not everyone recognizes that.

Crimes like this are sickening. It evokes emotions of rage and anger of epic proportions. How was this 80 year old guy deserving of such a brutal attack by thugs who are probably 1/4 his age.

Animals like that need to be shot down on the spot and their corpses left to rot in the sun as a warning to others.

We are idiots if we think we can keep saying that look how mercyful we are are by allowing vermin to remain in our society, the herd needs thinned of the dross.

In the American West before the coming of the whinny liberals vermin like this got hung in the public square.

Hopefully as they're waiting on death-row, they'll be tortured and raped by their fellow criminals.

2 of the things that hurt my heart the most are reports of children and the elderly being murdered. Sad.
