Apparently they could smell a rat as both have a lot of street time. I hope they recover fully.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
You cannot choose the conditions for a gunfight, so train in all conditions!
Speedy recovery to both officers.
The more time you spend on the street the more you develope your BS Detector.
You know in your knower that something is just not right.
Sometimes all it takes is walking over and beginning a conversation with the individual(s) to make them show their intentions.
As brother Guantes said, " apparently they could smell a rat........."
Same with the three officers in N.Dakota, they felt something just wasn't right with the four subjects standing on the street and went to investigate........ they were right .

Hope the officers heal quickly, the BG, not so much!
