Holy smokes! Hard to say what I'd do in that situation. All I can say is it's a good thing I don't ride the bus, and I'll make a mental note not to criticize someone's parenting skills in public.

Wow what are the lessons: shut up don't say anything; the reason you carry a firearm; avoid public transit in Philadelphia?

Well, I'll say one thing. That video certainly dispels the argument of gun owners who say "I only carry when I'm going someplace where I think something might happen." That incident just came without warning right out of the blue.

Someone approaches you with a concern, shoot them. Someone looks at you wrong, shoot them. I don't have any brains, shoot them. The only skill I have is robbing and pulling a trigger, shoot them. This man wants to talk to me about my baby daddy baby, call the baby daddy to shoot them.

On the bus, probably shoot back. Nearby, probably leave.

Since when is armed individuals shooting at unarmed individuals a "gunfight". Another example of how inept the press is.

I was actually going to say the same thing. I watched the video twice trying to see who was "shooting back" but never found anyone. So yeah, not much of a fight. I'd also say had I been on that bus, not sure what would have happened. It would be tough to shoot back at two guys outside of the bus who have a better aim at me than I do of them and they have better weapons.

So kid runs a little wild parent spanks, guy complains, relatives shoot at a whole bunch of innocent people (well innocent in this particular case)... I would say there is a lack of sense all the way around...

    1. kids misbehave sometimes
    2. spanking is ok when done properly
    3. child abuse is not ok
    4. shooting into a bus full of people not ok either

only one we know took place without reading court transcripts or hearing eyewitness accounts (for whatever they're worth) is #4

CCW on inside of bus defending the other passengers and themselves would need more than a pocket gun IMO.

9mm 40s&w or 45acp fired from a good firearm should work well if used effectively.

JHP through glass close up might have a bad effect on bullets performance?

The gunmen outside were not shooting to miss so defending shooter needs to be very well trained.

    IMO-YMMV

I've been shot at enough times that it irritates me when it happens. The rifle might be superior, but not the handgun. When the door remained open and they presented their arms, that would indicate to me an intention to shot. Take'm then.
