I can't fault the man for trying to protect his neighbors. A dozen to thirty "utes" throwing rocks would seem to be a considerable threat, justifying a response.
The question, is, is it over.

Pitty one of the thugs didn't give him a reason to fire off a few rounds. I am afraid they may not have learned their lesson in this case. Attacking people's homes is one of the most sure-fire ways to get yourself shot. They should learn that as soon as possible.

I glad to hear that he did what he had to. But, I am curious as to what would have happened when he used all four/five rounds that rifle holds. But, I think that anyone standing on the wrong end of- what looked like a 7.62X54R- that thing wouldn't have wanted to stand there long. Especially when he got a bead on them...
