The guy is definitely and interesting looking individual. But he is a hero to his neighbors none the less.....

Gotta love the M44. If it was a 91/30 with a bayonet, he could just stay on his porch and stick them from 15 feet away.

Gotta wonder what he would've done had they attempted to call him on his move?
He sounds like he wouldn't hesitate to use it, but would he be justified? Based on the reported ransacking of a neighbor's house, I'm thinking...yes.

I do wonder what his plan was, had they decided to rush him.

I can't fault the man for trying to protect his neighbors. A dozen to thirty "utes" throwing rocks would seem to be a considerable threat, justifying a response.
The question, is, is it over.

Why do I get the feeling he would have butt stroked the first one to approch him.
Guantes question is very valid, "is it over".
I hope in this case it is but I would not bet the farm on it.

Pitty one of the thugs didn't give him a reason to fire off a few rounds. I am afraid they may not have learned their lesson in this case. Attacking people's homes is one of the most sure-fire ways to get yourself shot. They should learn that as soon as possible.

he simply waits for 4 or 5 of them to be in a line and pulls the trigger once....all fall down

A real life "Get Off Of My Lawn" scene. Man, do you know what I would have done to my kids if I found out they were involved in something like that? They would better hope that the cops got them before I did.

IMHO, they will be back.
They are obviously in walking distance, and the cowardly dirtbags will be up late to plan something.
Hopefully, this vet will be on his toes.

I wish there were more folks like Roger MacBride.

I hope they don't give the man anymore trouble.
I glad to hear that he did what he had to. But, I am curious as to what would have happened when he used all four/five rounds that rifle holds. But, I think that anyone standing on the wrong end of- what looked like a 7.62X54R- that thing wouldn't have wanted to stand there long. Especially when he got a bead on them...
