Police: Woman kills ex-boyfriend after he kidnaps her | todaysthv.com
BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) -- Bryant police say a woman shot and killed her ex-boyfriend after forcing her into a car at gunpoint.
Authorities say when the woman came home around 4 pm Monday afternoon, her ex-boyfriend, 49-year-old Calvin Keith Brown, came around the side of the house with a loaded shotgun. He ordered her to get back into the car in the passenger seat, then got behind the wheel and drove off, with the shotgun still pointed at her.
According to officials, the man stopped about a mile down the road. That's when police say she pulled a handgun from her purse and shot Brown multiple times. Then she got out of the car and ran.
Investigators say Brown, who lived in Conway, died within two minutes of the arrival of the police.
Police are still investigating and no charges are pending against anyone. Once the investigation is complete, the prosecutor will decide what charges, if any, are to be filed.
The woman's name is not being released at this time.
