I'm not sure I understand the whole sword thing. Sure, I understand Butch from Pulp Fiction used it in good fashion, but are they purchased as a serious SD piece? If a collector and on display - sure makes sense. I just don't know if people take SD sword fighting classes or what, I would just hate to have to get that close to a BG to stop a threat when gun could "touch" someone from further away.
