I just read the story here, Ex-City Councilman Pistol-Whipped In Home Invasion - San Diego News Story - KGTV San Diego and was going to post it. I grew up in that neighborhood, a quiet, middle class zone except for the kids. Most in San Diego can't get a permit unless they are connected like Mr. Mathis. Too bad he didn't get them all.
