Police don't currently believe her death was related to her activism, but the death is mysterious.
There is a lot more going on here than what we know about. It dosent appear to be a random act. It looks more like a hit.
Wouldnt suprise me if it was done by her own people.

I wonder if this story will drift away? Without question she would have been at the top of the list for reprisal. The Iranian's would have invoked sharia law at some point. I'm sure she made plenty of enemies from here own culture! The lead investigators will exhaust all avenues in the investigation that's for sure! Quiet neighborhood, security cameras, hopefully they have something on tape. I just hope the perp gets busted. Shame she was cute.

Houston PD may not think it was due to her activism, but I would bet 90% that is exactly the reason.
Iranians are not big on women's liberation.

    Very sad.

She was shushed. No doubt about it. I'd venture a guess that it was her own people behind it.

All in. A hit. It really illustrates the need for SA and a CHL/CHP. Particularly an outspoken female critic of a misogynistic, criminal regime. Tragic. May the HPD get's it's criminal.

Houston has become a very dangerous place. Katrina evacuees created a huge spike in crime and now they are dealing with drug cartels. However my gut tells me that neither had anything to do with this. This woman was murdered to shut her up.

I'm not sure any degree of SA will help if someone is the target of a hit.

I believe that it is most likly a hit of some kind. She is an educated woman and she knows here left from her right, something made her turn that direction. Was that dead end road more secure from servailance for the kill shot? Did she see someone or something that scared her in that direction? She was shot through the passenger window and that means the shooter was shooting from street level and not from another vechle unless it was a parked vechle on her passenger side should be under servailance maby its a gang style killing? If the shooter was on street level and still avoided the servailance camaras that means it was probably staked out in advance and that points to it being a hit. Just speculation and opinions though.

My first thought was honor killing but I would never rule out a hit. Iran's proxy terrorsit group, Hezbollah, is know to have ties with Mexican drug cartels.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day

3,500+ comments to the News article say it was a hit job.

This is one of the best:

You might be able to silence individuals who express the Truth,

but you will never be able to silence Truth itself.
