We need to know what type or "caliber" that rock was.

If it was flint, that can be used to make arrowheads, spear points, knives, or flints for flintlock rifles, etc, I know, I can flintknapp and manufacture those objects.

Granite is a very hard substance and can kill if used improperly.

They make pool tables out of slate, and it could be used to injure or kill but unlikely.

Shale is a rock but it's too soft and crumbly to do much good in killing someone.

Now the Brady Anti Violence group will want to ban rocks because they kill people.

Mustn’t forget obsidian, it can be knapped to a razors edge.

Goliath certainly learned this lesson. You just know he was laughing loud, right up until David let it fly.

    It's all about shot placement.

It's a little-known fact that the Brady Campaign was actually founded in the Paleolithic Period with banning rocks their original goal.

Ah yes, I forgot just how deadly obsidian can be. The Aztecs used it to cut holes in the skulls of living people to relieve crainal pressure from disease. Trepanning it was called.

Today though, obsidian just goes off and kills.

Actually they still use scalpel mounted obsidian flakes for the most delicate micro eye surgery because the actual flaked obsidian cutting edge can be as thin as one molecule.

It is impossible to sharpen steel and end up with that keen of a cutting edge. The downside is (of course) that the edge is very easily damaged.

    Whatever works!!!!!
If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.

So do rocks need to be stored in a separate part of the car in Colorado? Do they count as melee or a ranged weapon?

Oh...I'm a living, walking, treasure trove of useless, miscellaneous information that will never get me anywhere or earn me a plug Nickel.

Your car keys are in the exact spot that you're going to look when you finally find them.

Don't mention it. Glad I could help.
