Glad the old guy made it. You'd think they would have to have a trial.

That story is great but a tad bit bizarre on several counts from start to finish. Absolutely worth reading the whole article.
If it wasn't a copyright page I'd post the complete article here for the permanent record.

If you cite the original source, can you not copy and paste it to this site? It would be for informational purposes

"Cutrufelli spent nine days at Marin General Hospital before he was well enough to be booked into jail. His public defender, Kathleen Boyle, has filed a motion to dismiss the charges, saying Cutrufelli was denied access to a lawyer while he was in the hospital, and the crime scene was contaminated in the interim."

Scumbag better not get off on a technicality.

"Outside the courtroom, Leone, a fitness buff and former member of the sheriff's air patrol, said he would like to go another round with Cutrufelli, perhaps in a classic duel at three paces."

    that is too funny

Not wise... We lost one of the best resources for self defense stories at: Home*|*The Armed Citizen because of a lawsuit based on only a paragraph being quoted, even with a direct link to the story.

    ^^^^YEP^^^

As is the following quote fom the old guy,
The burglar let him go into the bathroom but would not let him close the door, Leone said.

"I said, 'Do you like to watch people?'" Leone testified. The burglar let him close the door, and Leone went for his Smith & Wesson snubnose.
