It seems there are almost daily happenings of citizens needing to defend themselves, especially since December '11. I am thankful we have the right to defend ourselves and our homes and that our state does not prohibit our ability to do so.
What is the significance of that date?

There are very few places anymore where you can go completely Condition White. SA and being prepared will improve your odds especially when in familiar locations (like your safe neighborhood). Glad the woman was able to take care of business.

Especially THERE -- SW 51st in OKC? With the South Side Locos gang there and all the other low lifes, I am very surprised anyone there thinks it a "safe" neighborhood.

I agree!!! I live in a suburb of OKC and that particular area has become known as the "barrio"!!!! It's been overrun by hispanic gangs and other undesirables!!! It makes me nervous just driving through the area (which I seldom do). In general, OKC and most of the burbs are relatively safe, but that area is not!!!!!.
