Wife goes to top of stairs is immediately shot... husband struggles with BGs gets killed...
It could be worse!

"To reject the notion of expertise, and to replace it with a sanctimonious insistence that every person has a right to his or her own opinion, is silly."
Shot 8 to 10 times..............Geezzzz.
Wow! Scary to hear stuff like this and I sure hope I never have to experience it.
My wife would've sent me to investigate the noise and I would've sent the big barking dog, with me and a gun immediately following.
The woman gets shot up and the man dies then the BG runs off. You would think that a house that big would have an alarm system
Wonder how they came to the opinion one of the BG's may have been shot in the leg? As usual, the media don't give us the full story. Those guys meant business. Sad for the family.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. Because it's in English, thank a vet
I hope the wife recovers and is able to take care of raising their two kids. It's going to be a long hard road for all of them. And the anti's still wonder why we want to be "prepared" for anything. "Those people" don't always stay in "those places" and despite clean living, it can happen to "you" and it can happen "anywhere"Clark said that Paul seemed to be a "a good, upstanding person" and that neither he nor his wife was known to the police. Police didn't know of a motive and were "leaving open" the possibility that the gunmen may have hit the wrong house, he said.

"fundamental principle of American law that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen." [Warren v. District of Columbia,(D.C. Ct. of Ap., 1981)]
If I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand
I wonder if there is more to this story....
This quote stunned me:A really nice family, living in a really nice house possibly?"Their lifestyle didn't indicate that they would be victims of this type of crime," he said.
"We don't know why they were targeted. It seems like a really, really nice family."

For whatever reasons, they should not have been targeted, there is no excuse to do this.

Drugs? Drugs tend to make things like this happen. Not all drug dealers live in mansions... or they got the wrong tip from their street friend and hit the wrong house.

Sounds like a "HIT" Most Burglars aren't gonna go to Murder/Attempted Murder when they have an opportunity to just run out.Since they sound like the Cleavers very well could be the wrong house,if they had a blood trail leaving the residence I hope the little SOB has to go in for treatment
