Idiots like this are why I'll have to defend myself and my students with my stapler.

Hey, I thought it was illegal to have a firearm on school grounds. How did this happen?
Maybe we need some more laws to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Throw the book at him, no pun intended.

    Say Whaaa?

I REALLY want to hear the story behind that one. Obviously the teacher had some kind of plan (a failed one) but I'd be very interested in hearing why he thought that was a good idea.

While I don't agree with what he did, I DO think that kids these days need someone to scare the mess out of them.

I was wondering the same thing. Was it supposed to be some kind of object lesson, or was he just crazy?

This time they won't. Trust me, in my experience as a teacher, our teacher's union was incredibly weak. If they were stronger and stood up for teachers, students and parents wouldn't get away with the crap that they do.

No matter what, this guy was plain dumb.

The charges are Class 6 felonies, according to the newspaper, and each count is punishable by up to five years in jail and a $2,500 fine.

I will bet his defence will be it's not a real gun it can only fire blanks ergo I broke no laws, and if I did I apologize ...now will you drop the charges so I can finish the lesson,...which was it is easier to grind a bad weld off than clean a skidmark out of white underwear
