But, there has to be more. The folks were arrested. Doesn't make sense at all. Either there was an abundance of stupid
going around the neighborhood that day, or perhaps the officer didn't want to arrest Uncle Bubba and his first cousin.

I know what I'd be doing now if I were the home owners.
Yeah...MOVING again because it looks like they just moved into one ******* inbred neighborhood.

Prudent man rule - call 911, get in a defend-able position, observe, note license numbers, descriptions, wait for the others to make a mistake, etc.

Unless they were setting up a sniper rifle by the window how did this nut job and his kid have reason to fear for their lives?

    Imagine the other scenario...

Neighbors come with gun. New homeowners are license holders and carrying their EDC. Neighbors' attentions get skewed after drawing and next thing you know nosy neighbor is laying on the ground with a .45 defensive round wound.

Dumb neighbors better thank their <insert belief systems here> that the scenario didn't play out like this.
"Sir, could you please not bleed so much? I have to clean the store after they haul you off and I'd like the rest of my shift, to be, like, you know, better."

Neighbors should be charged with Aggravated Assault, unlawful detention.LEO should be fired for not investigating.
The main problem here is the fact that nobody lived in the house since it was on the market,so this is nothing like the case of Burglars/Robbers are breaking into an occupied home.I'm pretty sure the neighbors don't want to talk to the News because they could be in serious trouble.
( Posted before I saw the update),the attackers don't look too smart, especially the Father who proclaimed "I don't know what they can charge me with," Canoles said late Monday afternoon, before the interview with authorities. "This is my Second Amendment right. Look, this is the country out here, and we protect our own."He will find out real quick how fast you go from Hero to Zero, they are lucky nobody was shot/killed or they would be in more hot water
"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"
