By opening the door he is not only lucky but stupid. If somebody comes knocking on my door at 11 pm they better call first or it's not getting answered,if they try to kick it in I know it's not a friendly visit

Sounds like after reading the story the girlfriend should be suspect in helping the would be robbers. At the least she should be asked if she blasted her mouth off to the dead BG about the guns in the place.

Exactly. If the guy was me, I'd be trading her for a better model. Definitely more to the story than just a guy trying to force his way into the apartment possibly knowing the victim has firearms. Guess he didn't think the guy would USE one of them. Guess he knows now for an eternity.

This is why I am oh so careful who I want to know that I have firearms.

    Firearms? WHAT firearms?

Seems to be some connection with the girl friend??? Somebody has been talking too much about their guns. Yeah, an AR will get the job done.

I really don't understand opening the door at 11 p.m. though. I don't open my door here at noon. Unless I know who it is, or someone (service person, delivery driver, etc.) is known to be expected. And even then my wife and I use the little side windows by our front door. That AND I'm always armed here.
    SOLD my guns.
