The victims called 911 shortly before 1:40 a.m. saying they had been approached by a man with an automatic weapon who demanded their vehicle. They told the dispatcher that he had opened fire after they refused.
Officers were able to stop the suspects' vehicle in front of the station as it attempted to leave the area. The driver was taken into custody and police recovered an AR-15 with a 100 round drum magazine from the car.
Yep, one of those deadly, lethal, dangerous assault weapons loaded with murderous amounts of fatal cop killer bullets.

It was later determined that the suspect's car had been stolen in an earlier carjacking near Wayne State University. They have been turned over to the Detroit Police Department.
They were just trying to recover their property.

I am still confused who writes this crap.
Did the bad guys call 911 after the car's owner chased them with an AR15 or did the bad guys with the AR15 chase the good guys while the good guys drove to the police station?

The GG's were shot but took off in their car with the BG's chasing them, the GG's called 911 and the dispatcher told them to drive to the PD.The BG's chased them into the parking lot and didn't stop until confronted by LEO and then arrested. The car the BG's were in had been stolen earlier

Didn't that just denote that the BG's were driving a stolen car already?

    Or am I overlooking the...

When does anything the biased anti-gun media writes about not confusing?

As a example, it was stated in the news article, ie: "The victims called 911 shortly before 1:40 a.m. saying they had been approached by a man with an AUTOMATIC weapon who demanded their vehicle."

The article then went on to say it was a "AR-15".. which, as we all know, is the civilian "SEMI-AUTOMATIC" version of the select fire military "M16".
