BAD: 84 yr old security guard shot to death

Which begs the question, when are you too old to be a security guard (especially in the D)? Even if the guard was armed, he didn't stand a chance.

The bigger question for me, is... WHY?

what a waste of humanity in "the D" or anywhere else.
    Rats!
    It could be worse!
    I suppose

Two against one 84 year old man and still they shoot him. What a waste of oxygen.

I heard a local radio report this evening say that the police did, indeed, find that the dead guard was armed when they found him. It appears that he wasn't even able to clear leather in order to defend himself. What a shame and tragedy.

From the photo shown, he could have been mistaken for a LEO. Security in Delware can not use Red Lights on their cars.

Its punks like this that make me want to bring back the pike and gibbet. Either is an effective way of displaying what happens if you do the crime.

I have no problem with hanging them first, or shooting them either for that matter, but once they are dead, hang their body in a gibbet at the town square and let the birds pick their flesh. If the public can't handle that, put their head on a pike and leave it at the town square. The birds will pick it clean and they like the eyes best.

Oh yeah, do it all within a week of being convicted. Fast track the appeals and execute them it the appeals don't get them off.

BTW, neither is cruel or unusual punishment as the guy is already dead before using either the pike to display the severed head or the gibbet to display the whole body.

To be perfectly honest I think they may be better off installing security cameras that are monitored inside, anybody seen trespassing/trying to break into cars call 911,these thugs have no value for human life until they get caught, and suddenly they think that the death penalty is too harsh
