Williams Gets 178 Months in Prison for Shooting

Aaron Phillip Williams has been sentenced to 178 months in prison for first-degree assault charges brought after he shot a man last November in the Goodtymes Pub parking lot on Mission Ave.

The assault occurred last November, and Williams allegedly left the scene and was tracked by a police dog from the pub to East Sinto Avenue where he was found hiding in a koi fish pond. The police found a semi-automatic handgun in a mailbox near where Williams was found.

Williams has previously be convicted for second-degree assault, harming a police dog, and unlawful possession of a firearm. While still a juvenile, Williams was convicted for residential burglary, first-degree theft, second-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, and obstruction of law enforcement.

Washington state has a three-strikes law, so should Williams be convicted of a third violent crime in the future, he could be sentenced to life in prison with no chance for parole.

The man who was shot in the pub parking lot was treated for a non-life-threatening injury to his leg.

I don't believe any of it. Everyone knows with a record like that Williams was prohibited from legally possessing a firearm.

Unless people are suggesting that *gasp* he ignored the law???
