When I was in college working on a criminal justice degree my instructor for my Police Defensive Techniques class was an ex-Houston Police Dept. sargeant. He told told us about an incident when he unloaded the entire magazine of his dept. issued 9mm into the perp who was jacked on PCP and cocaine. Dude still kept coming. Next day he went and got a .45 long Colt.

It continues to amaze the squat out of me how the CNS can continue to function with all that lead cutting through the body. Years ago I had an old deputy tell me that a hit in the pelvis area would shatter it and bring the biggest, meanest perp down pronto. That was long before PCP though and I and I've never tried it so I don't know if that advice holds water.
