Police officials this morning were still gathering a list of confirmed shootings and victims during a hectic night that saw officers in some districts racing from one shooting to another. Preliminary numbers indicated that 21 people were wounded, police said.

.......In one incident, five people -- which included four victims younger than 20 -- were wounded as they stood with a large group in the 3300 block of West Douglas Boulevard in the Lawndale neighborhood at about 2:15 a.m., police said.

Gangs, or just street thugs. Either way, the more they shoot EACH OTHER, the better. It's too bad that we have to pay for their medical.

Sell tickets and have behind bullet proof glass seating and we may pay down a big chunk of the National Debt. Add the sales of soft drinks (Large of course) and popcorn and then we might go from the red to the black. Then there is the savings on monthly "assistance" money not paid to the losers. Win/win all the way around.

BTW Make teams Chicago vs. Detroit. The winner could face team Kansas City on the next match...so on and so forth. Plenty of violent dirt bags all over the country in many cities. Could this replace football? Throw in a few of the "bad boys" of sports and music industry for that "star" effect.

May want to check your sources. Guns are legal in chicago. They have to be registered. In Illinois no CCW but you can transport a firearm in a gun case or fanny pack unloaded with a loaded mag right next to it. Do it everyday. I deal with LEOs on a daily basis all over the state. There are no laws regulating the transportation of ammo. Check out Illinois state police website.

Oh no wounding allowed at the end of each segment those wounded would be put out of there misery plus throw in for excitement a special guest who knows what they are doing to ensure good ratings.
