Circumstances can present themselves in the ugliest situations. Apparently he kept his head enough to recognize it when it came 'round. Good for him and his family.But then he saw an opening... and took it.
Sadly, I'm sure the thugs'll use more duct tape next time.

See? People don't need guns to protect themselves. All they have to do is put up with a little duct tape, rope and hope for an opportunity to increase their odds of living up to 50/50 after about an hour or so.Happy all turned out with the good guys living though. Could have turned out better. Maybe next time, (now that it's already too late to prepare for the first time) he will have a 12 ga. waiting for them when they do their vengeance run.

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when I read that last line above .... sounds like they were not expecting the owner to respond in the manner in which he did. Good Job though...... a good example of "fighting mentality". Sounds like the neighborhood is applauding him.
