As recommended by a Cop buddy: if you're going to carry, do it all the time, everywhere.
Even with my doors locked, I still keep my S&W 642 in my pocket at home. I've read somewhere that you are more likely to be attacked at home than on the street. It might have something to do with Domestic Violence, but, I worry about the uprise in break-ins by violent nuts.

My bet is that 9 out of 10 times they are not selling Avon.

After reading God and Country's statement, all I have to say is AMEN! It is hilarious but true. I would never even go to the door after the sun sets. If someone tries to come in, it is game on!

Whoever even goes to the door at night to see who it is, needs a good

P.S. Avon is too good. I actually laughed out loud a bit on this one.

Geez, what was he firing, a .22 short?!
At bedroom range, he couldn't FINALIZE this thing?

I'm very pleased he won the encounter, but I sure wish we were talking about hearses, and not ambulances.

Even living here in Japan, with its low crime rate (which gives rise to the myth that "Japan is safety country!" ), I don't open the door unless I am expecting a visitor. Day or night, that's my rule. I do this not out of worry about crime, I do it because anyone unexpectedly knocking on my 5th floor apartment door is there to waste my time trying to get me to either buy something, or buy into their whatever sales pitch.

This homeowner seriously needs to get to the range and practice. All those shots, and none of them immediately fatal? Hits in arms and legs? I'm glad he survived, but he really needs to work on his shooting skills. Both those guys should have been taken away by the coroner, not an ambulance.

Also, that warning stuff is crap. If someone's in your house, don't give them a warning, which is a chance for them to get a leg up on you. Just shoot them!

How much money did that hospital have to waste in treating these criminals? That's money that they won't be repaid, and they'll add it to the bills of all the paying patients, thus increasing our healthcare insurance premiums.
