"Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt" ~ Mark Twain
What I would have liked to see was the owner come from behind the counter, lock the door and rack a shotgun. Would have been some interesting facial expressions.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day
There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.
Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.
Mr. Cho needs to upgrade to ELECTRIC LOCKS...
It is hard for me to sympathize with a guy who sells $200 jeans. Sure he had some inventory stolen and the flash mob is reprehensible, but so is selling overpriced denim. In all reality with his retail pricing he may have lost $3000 but in reality it couldn't have cost him more than $500-$700.
Sure... they'll kill each other for sneakers... they'll kill each other for glasses (or shades)... they'll mob together and loot a store of it's merchandise... That's okay.. when the SHTF, they'll kill each other for lesser things... and there'll be fewer mobs that work their way out of the city... in search of food.
It could be worse!
that was organized crime but if you lock the doors they will destroy the doors and windows getting out making the whole thing worse
So if they walked into a bank and stole $3000 in money that could get them shot, but since it's only clothes it's okay and just misdemeanor shoplifting basically. There is going to have to be some serious laws approved for dealing with this mob mentality crap, were headed deeper towards Anarchy every day, when the Police and Courts become overwhelmed then people will be left with no choice but to protect what is theirs with deadly force if needed
"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"
--Mayor Marion Barry, Washington , DC .
In that state, I'm assuming that the "grand theft" valuation was exceeded by that crime. Just as it's sensible to charge all participants in a felony for the murder of someone in the event someone dies during commission of the crime, I think it's lunacy to do anything other than charge all such participants in this sort of thing with (a) rioting and (b) grand theft. Let 'em all think about society's lack of amusement while chilling to the lovely sights and sounds of D block.
