This is a tough situation, but if my life or the lives of loved ones are in danger (and anyone able to beat someone with rocks is capable of inflicting grave bodily harm), then yes, I would do anything to defend myself and stop the threat.

I saw the title of the thread and was getting ready to say something like, "and people are ganna whine that the family had guns in the home with kids."

Now I just dont know what to say. Things like this are the reason why I dont want kids. I have no doubt that I would do my damned best to be a great father but even if I raise a great kid, alot of others of thier generation are ganna screw things up.

Take care of the threat first. Then when its all over you can safely worry about their age, race, religion or whether or not their parents molested them.

If the government starts punishing the parents for young children commiting crimes then someone will have to punish the government for paying our tax dollars to people having these kids. Unfortunatley, neither will ever happen.

I assume your post is towards those physically abled. Some folks have physical handicaps and issues, that would/could easily prevent them from taking down 12,10 and 7 year old boys, especially after being woken up by being hit. A petite woman could likely be overpowered by them in a physical altercation as well.

We also hold people more responsible for the actions of their animals than we do for the actions of their children. Dog owners are often fined for not controlling their animals. How often are parents fined for not controlling their children? The Government also has to bear some of the blame for the gestapo tactics they sometimes use in the name of preventing child abuse.

At 12 years old, my son was a 7th year student of Choi Shin Do and could handily take down a 6'2", 200lb opponent without breaking a sweat. Age means very little.
