Bad for us: CCW holder shoots AT store security

BG was arrested before, for carrying a weapon. He had a permit at court, so charges dropped, gun returned.

Then, several months later, shoots store security cop, and brandishes his gun at others.

Story here: Court record: Alleged Wichita store gunman had a weapon returned to him after previous case | Wichita Eagle

Edited to fix the title and make it more clear.

Hard to say if he somehow could have justifiably felt so threatened, but seems unlikely.

It is a poorly written article but he apparantly missed the store security guard since no employees were injured. The shooter put the gun back in his pocket and got tazed and it was the shooter who went to the hospital for minor injuries. Glad no one was hurt.

Guy fired fron 6-8 feet away, either he fired a warning shot or that guard is lucky he can't shoot worth a damn.I'd like to see what he had in his system.
I'll bet the Judge doesn't tell them to give him his gun back this time

I think his permit is probably history this time.

I agree. Also, this was one of the most poorly written articles I have ever read. Unfortunately, this seems to be the standard of reporting these days.

Title is misleading also since the Guard wasn't shot,a round was fired in his direction

That is probably one of the worst articles I have ever read. I feel dumber for having just muddled through it. Of course, seeing what our education system churns out on occasion, I am not surprised.

That said, it sounds like the guy should be locked up and that CCW permit yanked. I don't care if he was on something or it was organic, if the particulars are correct, he was not in his "right mind" and could have killed people, and as a carrier, we have the responsibility to be under control of our faculties at all times when carrying, or leave it or ourselves at home.

. +1. I sure hope so. The guy sounds like he's a little off in the head if the situation went down as it was written.

Who ever wrote the article should be arrested for impersonating a journalist.
