Federal Way man threatened Pres. Obama
So, a little craziness in my neck of the woods.
Secret Service: Federal Way man threatened Pres. Obama | www.kirotv.com
Don't know a lot of details yet, but I saw this on the news when I got home. Looks like he emailed a threat to the president. We talk about threats and that kind of talk a lot here, but he aparently went too far.
They say he had two weapons and suspicious packages that they called the bomb squad for. His mother lives in the appartment with him.
It will be interesting to see where this one goes.

Written article doesn't say anything about suspicious packages. If police were to arrest me they would always find at least 2 weapons on me, my gun and a knife.
As to the basis of the arrest, if he did in fact send threatening mail to the POTUS then he deserves whatever happens to him.
It's one thing to dislike him for his views, it's another thing to threaten him.

Apparently he is also being charged with something relating to the fact that he "brandished" a weapon and pointed it at a local LEO and a FED. We will probably get more details when they have a court hearing. It is scheduled for tommorow.

Even tho I may not like the current POTUS anybody that threatens him is a moron and breaking the law.
If he did threaten his life then he won't ever own another firearm legally and will do the time if convicted.
Emotions may be running high, but being armed requires that you be able to keep a level head

Seems that lately , there are a lot of dubious sounding arrests of ex-military people... and in many cases for questionable reasons. Seems that Homeland's paranoia level and possible encouragement to the police is having a negative effect on anyone voicing an opinion or doing much of anything if they are ex-military. Now, having said that, depends upon how and what the threats were as to whether the actions were reasonable or not.
Without more information, it's very difficult to say anything.
If anyone comes to my door, they will find me armed too..... that in itself means nothing to me.

...a profanity-laced email landed in an FBI inbox stating: “I will kill the president!!!!! ... ‘I’ want you to come and get me ... you can’t afford to call my bluff.”
Caluori was charged Wednesday with making a threat against the president, which carries up to five years in prison, and with assaulting a federal officer, which carries up to 20 years.
He was holding a shotgun, revolver in ankle holster, AK-47 and AR-15 and a .45. And for some reason, the article felt the need to continually point out that they were all loaded (GASP!!! The horror!).
Once again, it is being described as an "arsenal". Sounds like this guy is a little closer to an arsenal than what the MSM usually calls it, but still nothing unreasonable. While this guy is obviously not a good image for gun owners, I think the media is trying to condition the public that "arsenals" like these guys have are only for crazy people, and no rational person needs that many guns.

As they say, you can't fix stupid. It sounds like this idiot did threaten the president. I wonder how long he will get in the gray bar hotel to think about his "stupid" move?
