It only prevents "gun" violence.

Give it some time! At some point they will shoot more then they are breeding!
I guess the gun free zones don't work so well.

I think politicians that allow people to die by removing their right to self defense through legislating "gun-free" zones should be prosecuted for criminal negligence and be considered accomplices to murder.

Guess who said this. "Chicago is an example of what makes this country great."
If you guessed Obama....give yourself a cookie.

I guess if he really believes that corruption and dead bodies stacking up in the street made this Country great (and he may) he would be right. I don't think so.
Funny how "gun free zones" like Chicago and New York City are the pits of gun violence that they are. Gun free for law abiding citizens...but not criminals. Does that seem backwards to anyone else?

I am from Chicago and I think Chicago, for the most part, Is what makes this country great. Ethnically diverse, great food, lakefront, art, museums, schools E.T.C. It's the gun laws and politics that most here don't agree with. PRESIDENT Obama is right about that. My family left Chicago for the suburbs in 1986 because of the gun laws. I'm sad to see whats happening in the poor drug neighborhoods.

Looks like Chitown still has a gun control problem. 19 shot but 13 were only wounded!

Tell me again why I would ever want to visit Chicago?
"That I cannot do."

So true! That stuff is awful. Like a big pile of garbage. This is one area where I have to give the nod to NYC. In fact, I eat at a chain called New York Pizza almost every week!

Giordano's for me.
I also love the ribs at the Twin Anchors pub, but there is "positively no dancing" there.
