Impossible! Guns are illegal in NYC.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

I don't read these stories for a few days after they happen. They hardly ever report the truth early on. Give it time to get sorted out. Just saying!

It seems like we are seeing these stories weekly. Yet another reason to defend our 2A rights and support our right to carry.

Unfortunately no honest law-abiding citizen at the location of the shooting could legally carry & defend himself or others.

How did Bloomberg let this happen? I thought by supporting a no-gun policy for the city that he was going to protect everyone from this kind of violence. Guess not.

Can't wait to hear Bloomberg's press conference. I'm sure he'll repeat his usual mantra that people are safer if they don't carry guns.

Bloomberg will blame Virginia, like New York mayors always do.

Early reports are saying a disgruntled and recently fired store employee walked into his former place of employment, shot and killed a (former) coworker and then opened fire randomly. Dosn't say if the gunman killed himself or NYPD handled it.

This reminded me of a part of the Count of Monte Cristo where the Count and his guests are about to witness an execution of two prisoners in Rome, and one of them is pardoned, causing the other to go mad with rage and fury:

"look, for on my soul it is curious. Here is a man who had resigned himself to his fate, who was going to the scaffold to die - like a coward, it is true, but he was about to die without resistance. Do you know what gave him strength? - do you know what consoled him? It was, that another partook of his punishment - that another partook of his anguish - that another was to die before him. Lead two sheep to the butcher's, two oxen to the slaughterhouse, and make one of them understand that his companion will not die; the sheep will bleat for pleasure, the ox will bellow with joy. But man - man, whom God created in his own image - man, upon whom God has laid his first, his sole commandment, to love his neighbor - man, to whom God has given a voice to express his thoughts - what is his first cry when he hears his fellow-man is saved? A blasphemy."

Actually they are now saying several of the wounded may have been hit by LEO bullets,I'm not surprised given the amount of rounds usually fired by NY's finest and the amount of misses.I guarantee you that if one of us ever fires in SD and hits an innocent bystander we wouldn't get a pass
