The REAL reason NYPD cops are terrible shots??

Just read this and I am simply stunned at the stupidity of the New York City PD. Do they have ANYONE on the force that actually understands guns, how they operate and the dynamics of firing a gun with accuracy? I still can't believe it.

The city overrules firearms design engineers. Some lawyers will make a few buck from that.

Don't you ever talk about our God-Masters like that again. 12 pound triggers and 1.28 GPF toilets are the only thing protecting us from the anarchist revolutionaries lurking around every corner.

I've heard about the trigger pull on their guns but it seems the collateral damage with a light trigger was the cop himself and some sort of confusion where his bugger hook should be when returning to holster. I'm sure the lawyers will have a good time with that and the range results.

12lb trigger? Wow, why don't they just issue Keltec P11 9mm's that already come with a 12 lb trigger and save the
re-engineering costs. OK.....I might be exaggereating the P11 trigger. Closer to 11.5lbs.

In spite of that article I have read several article over the past few years stating that GLOCKS use the NY1 trigger which is eight pounds. Haven't read anything about the S&W or Sig but 12 lbs is about the same as a DA revolver so I think its a poor excuse. You need to make time for practice!

Main reason I traded off my P-11, with that looooong heavy trigger pull I could not hit the broadside of a barn from inside.

That what happens when people who don't know what they're talking about get to make final decisions. Tried to fix a training problem with jerry-rigged hardware. Created yet another training problem.

I can't wait until they rig squad car accelerators with heavier springs.

    Fix this problem.

    I have the solution...

My P64 has a 24# DA pull... and a ridiculously light SA pull... Unless they spend lost of time training, they'll never be able to hit anything BUT innocent bystanders... Oh wait, they already DO that...

Back to the drawing board! I wonder if ACME (of Roadrunner fame) has a solution for their problem... Better axe Bloom Bloom... I hear they bought out ACME.

I guess that NYC doesn't trust the NYPD enough to give them good triggers and training
