Wow, that does seem like a large over reaction. I can see her being detained when she gets out of the car, even handcuffed. But she doesn't appear to be resiting to the degree that she needs to be taken down like she was, especially the second time when she was cuffed.
Of course this is the LAPD

If the facts are what the video seems to show....these two should not only "pay" by losing their jobs, but also face criminal charges and civil court.
There are too many good and decent officers in Law Enforcement to have their reputations tainted by ones like these two, if this is true.
Many people will focus on the "bad apples" and not look past them to see the many "good guys".

Seems the Dept top , is handling it appropriately at this point.... let's hope they continue down that path. This was uncalled for and stupid, and they may pay for it with an end to their careers.

My concern is that one of them is a 22 year veteran of the LAPD. If so how much has he done that he has gotten away with? The 10 month probationary officer needs a better feild training officer to teach him the right way to deal with people and how to recognize situations that don't require King Kong tactics. Sadly both will either be fired, the veteran allowed to retire and the probationer fired, or both will be slapped on the back and essentially told to watch out for the cameras. Don't get me wrong, I am a Police Officer and if I did something like this while a subject is in handcuffs that would be it for me. Some officers do the rest of us a dishonorable disservice. To those fellow officers who take our positions seriously and do so courteously "Thank you for strengthening the thin blue line".
