That robber apparently didn't know the rules. Don't judge all robbers based on him... most are good people that play by the rules.

    It's petty simple

Gun control laws don't work because criminals don't obey the law to begin with

I thought we were just to hand over our stuff without any struggle or complaint to them, because, hey, it just "our" stuff and they need it more than we do.

Running is over-rated. I carry a gun so I don't have to run. I don't eat just to have calories to burn.

I know there are always exceptions, but I believe that the advice to "run, to run immediately, and to run quickly" when someone pulls a gun continues to be good advice. You need to be in fairly specific scenarios where drawing your firearm is going to increase your odds, and in a lot of those scenarios running helps too.

Turtles can outrun me. The last thing that I'm going to do is turn my back on someone who's threatening to shoot me.

Yeah, maybe. Our socialism allows our criminals to be plump and fat, and so a quick sprint tires them out worse than Homer Simpson.

Yep, that way you die tired, with a bullet in your back. Refusing to be a victim, having the proper mindset to never give up and to survive is the key here. Running away is the antis way of logic, which makes no sense at all.

After changing a few words in your post I agree that running helps with your staying alive in most all scenarios you find yourself in. By running I mean GOTX while shooting the BG to the ground. But you would need to train with someone in the know to know when, where and how. I am coming to the conclusion that most CCers will not nor are they interested in doing the training to learn though.
