Here is the deal even before I have had all apartment problemn / tenant problems this month.

I have like many others here my EDC on or very close to me 24/7.

And the people in entire villages living in grass huts get slaughtered by armed crazed marauding militia who come through in the night and hack them up with machetes and rape the women and burn their huts down. It's not exactly a safe world they're living in over in Africa.

Seeing this reminded me to do a security check on my parents... my dad keeps his rifle and handgun in a closet... the problem... that closet is right next to the front door.

I had to explain to him that he needs one or both, closer to him, and in a place he can easily get to.

If someone kicked in their front door, they'd be SOL. And home invasion roberies are on the rise in Port Arthur and Groves.
