Even the untrained, unarmed, can prevail... With a "never say die" attitude...

I got a feeling in NYC if you shot a perp with his own gun they would still charge you for possessing a handgun illegally for the few seconds you held it to put some caps in his butt.

If the critically-injured idiot expires, hopefully that state's statutes will allow charging each of the remaining robbers with murder. One can only hope.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I read that he had the gun in his hand and started assaulting her. It says at that time she kicked him just right because the gun went off and struck him in the head. I did not read where she disarmed him.
I can only speculate that she kick him in the Crown Jewels as he rared back to strike her with the gun and her timing was impeccable.
Can't get any more Clint Eastwood / Hollywood than that!
