I thought the article was bad enough... then I read one of the comments:

“so you can read it in store but not buy it. IT only says you cannot buy it. I personally am against people having access to guns in any way or form as there will always be people who will abuse them in this country. THe fact any weapon with the right kind of modification can be deadly is a concern to me and these sick people who shoot animals in public and take pop shots at cats e.t.c. Guns should be banned from sale in the uk period. even these so called airsoft guns can be made lethal with minimal modification and the atf have said so. they should not be selling these items to the public. TO all the people who supoprt firearms you should do well remembering that at some point some young kids will end up getting access to it or hurt and it has nothing to do with lack of responsibility. some times these things just happen. look at that 5 year old kid who was killed with an air gun in the news. they should not be on sale to the public period. I mean look how dumb some people are in torbay and cannot even find the right bus to travel on in the bus station without having to ask for assistance in this tiny town.”

Liberals are like Slinkies…Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation."

    The UK sucks.

The British commoners have been repeatedly placed in a pot of cool water, and then the heat gradually turned up.

When you allow the Government to decide who may or may not access the media, or even decide what types of media should be available you have opened the door to the Government placing restrictions on your speech as well. Most folks have no problem with allowing the Government to restrict access to porn. The trouble is that the Government sees it as permission to restrict all types of speech they do not approve of. You may think that you are giving the Government permission to restrict one thing. The Government sees it as an open invitation to restrict everything.

Seems our government is getting more and more like England's. Over the years since the revolution our government(mostly via the Supreme Court) has been slowly restricting our constitutional rights. Case in point --- the 2nd amendment.
"One of the greatest delusions in the world is the hope that the evils in this world are to be cured by legislation."
    --Thomas B. Reed, American Attorney

Second Amendment -- Established December 15, 1791 and slowly eroded ever since What happened to "..... shall not be infringed."

You see, our ancestors knew a long time ago that we needed to separate ourselves from that Country. I have nothing against UK, but I sure would not like to live there.

We have friends that live there and if they want access to their weapons, they have to go to the constable and sign them out and then sign them back in when they are done using them!! How freaky is that???? The police station must love being the keeper of the guns!!??

I bet kids under 14 can still get Call of Duty and other first person shooting games.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day

There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.
