I've always thought, that anyone who shoots up into the air, is a complete moron.

This a terrible tragedy and no matter what nation I feel for the families. With that being said the phrase "Poetic Justice" comes to mind.

Be sure of your target. Not too hard to understand.

Sort of takes the fun out of shooting in the air, though, electrocuting 23 fellows from your own tribe.

(BAD)Deaths after celebratory gunfire...and it wasn't caused by falling bullets.

I always shake my head at all the shooting guns into the air in some parts of the world. I'll refrain from further comment.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day

There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.

Wait a minute: you mean to tell me that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia allows private gun ownership?
I'm in favor of gun control -- I think every citizen should have control of a gun.

I've been there and private gun ownership is common. No need for the NRA there. The question we should be asking is will WE be allowed private gun ownership in the kingdom of "America".

Sad, but what catches my attention is that the page linked show the same story from 3 different international news sources, and the stories are very different. The American UPI tells of a gun control issue that the others dont, and neglects to mention why the casualties were predominately women and children. This is a classic example of why I get most of my U.S. national news from outside the US. The more that the editorial slants diverge, the better picture I get of what is really going on.
