Great: More smart criminals
So they rob the store...
Shoot the gun in the store a few times after the robbery, just to be like cowboys and gals, I guess.
They fight over their own gun in the getaway car! One gets shot in the chest. She's gonna survive. (Real cowgirls don't cry... wonder if she did?)

Irony? Too bad the gun didn't fire on a squib load and injure more than the one.

The cost is on her, or will be written off. LEOs typically don't arrest someone until released from medical care. If they arrest them before released, the municipality or state becomes responsible for the medical treatment.

That backfired here this week. The perp just walked away from the hospital. Funny story. Man shot with rock salt on lam - Calaveras Enterprise: News: jimmy terry, sgt. chris hewitt, calaveras sheriff's dept.,

If it's written off... we'll pay for it anyway in higher rates for insurance and/or health care. If she pays it (unlikely) it would have to be from proceeds of another robbery.... Unless she's covered by the amalgamated criminals benevolent union insurance... which I doubt.

I can just picture their conversation in the car:
"Man, that was a rush! Shoot the gun again just like in the store!"
"We have to get outta here!"
"C'mon, shoot the gun, shoot the gun, shoot the g-"
BANG
"Uh, I think we need to go to the hospital..."

It is better to die with a weapon in hand than to live with hands raised. (Meir Feinstein, 1947) ...But is far better to raise your hands with a weapon in them and assume a classic Weaver or Isosceles (BenGoodLuck, 2007)
