I'd like to see what the anti-asteroid features are like, on such a vehicle. Pretty stout vehicle, I guess.

:( I wanted it to look like a super-villain airplane, like the one in Captain America

Nothing new about the doomday plane. Been around since the late '70s. A lot of "old school" technology still used in it as it's less subseptible to EMP.

What OldVet said, nothing new there, the "Doomsday" planes have been around since the 70's. At least one sitting on the apron at Andrews AFB most of the time.

I am curious how it can "fly for days" without refueling?

It has to refuel; it doesn't have to land to refuel. Flight time is limited by food, water, and crew endurance. And yes, it stocks an ample supply of TP.

It clearly states that it can fly for days without refueling.
I know about air to air refueling, but if it is doing this, then it is a false statement.

    From the article.....

"It can withstand a nuclear bomb, asteroid blasts and terror attacks while staying airborne for days without refueling:"

Unless it can run without liquid fuel, not going to happen. What is it going to refuel from? A fuel tanker. How is a fuel tanker going to stay aloft for days, especially without running out of fuel itself? Not going to happen. If there is no fleet of fuel tankers with the ability to refuel this plane because none of them can get off of the ground, this plane too will fall from the sky.

A nuclear reactor! That's what the super-villain (-esque) plane should have. Engineers, to the drawing boards!

There's a large fleet of aerial tankers, each ready to offload fuel into the doomsday plane and then land. Old stuff, nothing new about it. Been doing it for many, many years. How do you suppose AF One flys non-stop to all these other countries? The reason the doomday doesn't land is it's difficult to locate and target while airborne--simple as that.

The USAF at one time did have plans for a nuclear aircraft until someone mentioned, "What happens to the reactor if the plane crashes?" They canceled the program. The risk of contamination was too high.
