    Election triggers gun sales

My Comments: On the plus side, Ammo manufacturing is going to rise, and at some point, those of us who are in a position to wait should see sell off quanities of over production at a cheaper rate = 4 months maybe?

Some are selling ten times what they normally do as customers load up.

"Our ammo and our guns have literally been flying off the shelf," says Rich Chatmas, co-owner of The Gun Cleaners in Waco, Texas.

It's been the trend at the gun shop, especially over the last two days.

....Snip....."It's usually full, but not only are we selling, it, but we're actually having trouble getting it in," Chatmas said. "We've done several thousands of dollars worth of gun sales in the last couple days, and I know our brothers and sisters in the bigger gun stores, they're doing hundreds of thousands of gun sales," said Rich.

That's ten times what he usually sells.

Question: With the house being Republican and the Senate being Democrat, what can President Obama really do to gun laws?

Executive order. Most likely an "assault rifle ban" but very little on handguns.

Even Clinton couldnt pass the ban by executive order, those powers are limited. The actual assault weapons ban would have to go through congress, and it aint gonna happen. Clinton's executive order added regulations to imports, the actual "ban" was passed by the house and senate.

Yep, that's his avenue. As log as SCOTUS stays 5-4 a real change in the 2nd amendment is unlikely.

There has been no reason that people couldn't have bought "stuff" a little at a time over the past months.

I bet the guns and ammo aren't literally flying off the shelves...
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

The gun counters I've been to after the election would say sales are up, and I see more interest in AR's. Bulk AR ammo is harder to find locally also.
