A family without weapons of self defense, at least had a plan... and they worked the plan... and they're okay...
The kid didn't get caught at their house... but got caught wrestling with another victim... (she maybe didn't have a plan).

Not the most complex plan "If they come in the front go out the back", but effective in this case.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

They come in the front you run out the back and hit the detonator on the claymore

At least they had a plan... the subsequent female victim apparently had none... but she delayed him long enough until the police arrived (probably the result of the first family's 911 call).

Banned under the AWB, not expired!
Fact is, there are only 3 "plans..."
- Be a victim
- Run, hide and barricade.
- Make them regret their victim selection process.
None of them guarantee a survivable outcome... But the odds of surviving and prevailing increase with the complexity of the plan...

I guess it's a good plan if you have no means to defend yourself. Although someone could have been outside of that window as well. I am definitely glad they are ok. But, I bet you this guy will get him a couple of dogs soon.

If we hear our door being kicked in, my wife and I have "lead replacement therapy" for whoever is doing it.
Ruger SR1911 in Remora OR M&P40c w/Apex DCAEK in Sticky Holster
And Firestorm .38sp Snubby as backup.
