I'm glad he'll probably recover. One scumbag in custody-ALREADY on probation and wearing an ankle monitor. How about some cruel and unusual punishment in this case-unfortunately it will never happen. I'll be glad to dispense it myself.

Good dog. Get well soon.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.
Rooting for a full recovery. An other example why a dog should be part of anyone's home defense set up.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.
Reading the comments about the 16 y.o. on probation, breaking and entering WITH a firearm in a cops house........ That punk was looking for trouble one way or another and dosn't care one lick either. We'll read about him again I'm sure.

That kid will do the same thing again...I hope the next time there is an armed homeowner to greet him.
Dog needs a medal. Anyone who can hurt a dog like that has a special seat in hell.
That's pretty awful. I hope the dog pulls through and recovers!
No mention of wounds to the intruder. I sure hope he got a few bites in on at least one of them.

Little scumbags need to get what they deserve. Ill be making a donation for the dogs care. Hope the pup survives.

Pretty much explains a LOT right there :Wednesday evening, Palm Beach County County sheriff’s investigators took a 16-year-old male into custody in connection with the shooting. The teen, whose name was not released because of his age, is facing charges of burglary while armed with a firearm and felony cruelty to animals
Investigators tracked the 16-year-old down because he is wearing an ankle monitor. He is on probation through the Division of Juvenile Justice for burglary and grand theft.
Detective Philip DiMola said the teen confessed to being the shooter. He told investigators he and two friends — also juveniles — knew the house belonged to a law-enforcement officer and targeted it because they believed there were guns and money inside.
“He had no remorse,” DiMola said. “I asked him, ‘Did you think about that dog today?’ He said no.”
1. Mind set of some criminals
2. some of the reasons we carry
3. reasons you should never understand a "kid" ... or juvenile.
The look on that dog's face is worth a 1000 words all in itself. Wondered if people were donating for the dog's surgery, treatment and recovery & it seems they are. He deserves the best of care as far as I'm concerned.

Kid needs to be euthanizeed he is a worthless POS and after he hits 18 his Juvie record will be expunged so he can go out and either kill somebody or be killed, hopefully the latter

How about we lower the age for criminal prosecution as an adult to 14?
There is a solution but we are not Jedi... not yet.
We have deep thinkers and stinkers in this group that could come up with a solution...
