NFL won't last forever. I love the NFL (Packers), but they are becoming more and more PC and soft when it comes to things. They do need to address some concussion issues and safety issues (SOME), but it's hard to feel bad for guys that know how hard the game is, decide to play anyhow, and get paid millions of dollars when they would be lucky to get a job for $40,000/yr doing something else.
Their increasing emphasis of addressing political and social issues is troublesome too. No one wants to see Chris Berman interview a president. No one wants to see Costas talk about guns, no one wants to see Goodell forbid a private citizen for being a team shareholder (Rush) because of his political views, no one wants to see athletes wear pink for a month to breast cancer (my grandmother had it, seeing pink does nothing for anyone), NO ONE wants to see what Keith Olbermann has to say about sports anymore.
Aside from them getting into things they shouldn't be, today's American culture (and lawsuits) are going to force them to regulate themselves with so many rules that no one can do anything or the game will be stopped constantly for penalties. It's just inevitable and sad.
