    Read both stories.

That is a lot of Felony for Very Little reward. Glad she was not hurt more than she was, or the others were not hurt.

IMO - sounds like one of the Invaders did not take the basic firearms safety course and discharged the weapon without really meaning to........ At least I would start with that theory on why she was shot.

Second theory - It was an 'Intimidation' break in relatating to other business. Wallet taken = we know who you are.

Third theory - Simple break in thinking she was alone, and oops, others are here.

Fourth theory - I have no clue what I am talking about!

    I vote # 4!

These home owners now understand the importance of being armed, but only AFTER the fact, too bad!
Hope that they catch these dirtbags soon.

As odd as some think it might be, having your firearm on your person is a big advantage, no guarantee, but a possible 'stopper'.
I am armed all the time at home, and although my wife doesn't mind, I'm relatively sure she thinks it's unnecessary. Most of my neighbors would think it's silly.
After my hip replacement (10 weeks ago), my home PT gal saw my gun on the table next to me and said, "My husband feels the same way about having a gun handy, and I understand his thinking."

Now let a home invasion occur in this neighborhood and most of the residents would be shocked. You would hear, "I can't believe it happened is this great subdivision, we've never had problems before."

    I choose to be prepared.

It's always sooooo easy, preaching to the choir... Why, it makes me feel, anointed... errr annoying.... errr... well, it's easy, anyway.

I actually hope that some of these stories get shared around some water coolers... you know, away from DC... and make a few more people take notice and give consideration to the fact that those who choose to arm themselves might just have a point. Just a little consideration... As I've said before converting an anti is as easy as turning an ocean liner...

Had a manhunt a few miles down the road this morning....helicopters, dogs, SWAT, you name it.....you bet I'm armed.....and the best part....they took him into custody after he went a fair distance through the woods at the Trump International Golf Course here in Bedminster, NJ.

I hope the woman is OK. NOT a good start to the holidays for that family.

Need to get these punks soonest.
I'm with ANGLICO, that was an awful lot of work for so little gained.
