Can we stop now?
No, realy it's OK you don't have to agree with my opinion... I can't force you to be right...
Obviously you can think whatever you want, but its not considered to be a matter of disagreement anymore, now its simply right and wrong. The bigots lost this one, sorry.
(Warning this is not a direct comparison im not calling anyone a freak!)
If someone told you that it was "his opinion" that kids can consent to sex and he said he was in nambla, would you accept that as his "opinion" and leave it at that? no, because that "opinion" is offensive and just wrong, we have the same reaction to "defending marriage".
I really dont want to get any more points so I forfeit, you guys win.
Edward: Re: Your statement: "The Teamsters:
"We ship those": No, the Shipper ships the goods, not the driver. The driver is not the "shipper". The driver gets compensated to drive the truck/vehicle from Point A to Point B for the shipper; and
"Our trucks": ONLY if via Independent Owner / Operator that happens to be a member of the Teamsters owns the truck. Otherwise, the Teamsters are driving a truck owned by someone else for compensation and the truck is also Operated by the someone else.
So while I understand your rhetorical tools, the post referred to the fact that Chick-Filet is generally a non-union shop, which I don't know is true or not, but I do understand the precursors probably moved through a union shop at some time or another.
Kind of like Twinkies and Hostess Bread I guess.
No apologies necessary.Quote:
I understand all that i just figured I didnt need to say it because I figured you KNEW that.
For the record, I find the NAMBLA man to be odious, but my moral code is not based on my feelings.
Just curious, but who is "we" in your post. The pronoun had no antecedent so it was not clear.
Seems like this is a great time to call this the "Oops...no more thread!"
It appears that the usefulness of this thread has been exhausted.
