I know Whose I am. I know where I'm going. I know the job I'm to do while I'm here. I am an ambassador. This is not my home.
Evil prospers when good people to do nothing. Please don't turn your back. ACT!
The man locks himself in his truck lol. I don't see where anyone was in any danger but the thief lol.

That sure was an unlucky thief!? I would say he was lucky (smart) enough to stay in his truck and wait for the police to arrive to rescue him from the home owner! Good outcome.
I think that thief had one of those os...,er, oh darn, moments.
"And he said, ‘unlucky.’ Just unlucky.” (He forgot "Stupid") (Texas burglary suspect calls 911 on homeowner with gun | Fox News)
Cogito, ergo armatum sum. I think, therefore I am armed. (Don Mann, The Modern Day Gunslinger; the ultimate handgun training manual)
This was obviously staged! In the world according to Bob Costas only bad things happen when people own/use weapons.
Lance was lucky. The thirteen year old sounds disappointed he didn't get to shoot him.
Serve my country, swear an oath to protect it, pay my taxes, fly old glory in the front yard, love and protect my family, honor the vets before me and help fellow americans in need.
By definition my country now calls me a radical
I would call it "not afraid" to shoot the idiot. If I had to pick a 13 year old to have my back, he'd be one of them. Looks like Dad raised him right and felt pretty confident that he could depend on his boy.

I was just going to listen to the report again as I didn't catch the note of disappointment in the 13 year olds voice. The link no longer works! Strange it should disappear so quickly......
Link worked for me,Kid sounds like he was just being honest about not being afraid to pull the trigger if the guy tried to get out. This is Texas Trespass during the night, not to mention Burglary can get you shot, the Burglar had every right to be scared poopless, maybe he needs to change careers
"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"

I'd say he was very "lucky" considering the circumstances.

OK, this is funny. I just posted my comments on the "Costas" thread after I watched the interview on youtube. I commented that crime has gone down with so many Americans owning firearms, and now I came to this thread and watched the video talking about a burglar locking himself in his truck for safety from the homeowner (and his stepson) who had a gun! This is just evidence of what I was saying. Ya gotta love it.
Actually, he was very 'lucky' to not get shot.
The local news said the Burglar had intended to kill everyone inside if he was discovered. Too bad they Homeowner didn't know that before hand. I'm sure he could have ended this young budding criminals career real quick had he known.
We got some real winner here in Texas. Too bad they havn't learned that there are other States more suited to their line of work.
What have you done to prepare for the end of civilization as we know it?
How embarrassing for the burglar.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
