I wonder why they were released? Isn't armed robbery a crime?

Y'know.. when I was 7 or 11, if I did what these little punks did, my old man would have beaten me to within inches of my life.... and I would have deserved it.
These days just raising your voice to your kids results DHHS representatives, most of which have never been parents, investigating you for child abuse.

    Sigh.

Agreed, when it comes to armed robbery I don't care what their ages are; more needs to be done than just being returned to their parents who will likely not effectively change the kid's minds about their actions.

I'm not usually one to want or expect the government to handle anything, especially when it comes to parenting...but these kids could have killed someone.

The kids did nothing wrong! It was obviously the gun's fault! Just ask Costas, or Whitlock!

The boys were apprehended by officers responding to reports of children with guns. When they arrived, the boys tried to run away.

After the boys were caught, officers returned the boys to their families, but the 11-year-old tried to escape his parents' house, police said. Officers later caught him.

If I had been one of those two kids, my mom would have blistered my butt sooooo bad. I surely would have walked the straight and narrow after that 'cause I couldn't have sat down!

I would put the odds at 3 to 1 that I would have survived the talking to I would have gotten from my mother.

Much shorter odds, however, when Dad got involved!

Yeah... Some kids just need to be beaten.

I'm thinking those two kinda need it. A lot.
