"AR"s have been in the news so much lately that people will start to think that "AR" stands for "Assault Rifle". This is going to be real ammo for the antis.
The vast majority of the uninformed already think "AR" is just an abbreviation for "Assault Rifle".

The ban on Assault Rifles and rifles that look like Assault Rifles is getting closer and closer.

As to whether or not the news media would report a Concealed Carrier taking out the suspect, don't bet on it being reported, even if it happened. School shooters have been stopped by armed students and staff. News reports only said, "Staff convinced him to put down the gun." They neglected to mention, "when that staff member (or student) pointed their own firearm at the useless piece of cowardly trash."

A legally carrying gun owner stopping a criminal is not part of the Anti Agenda, and thus not newsworthy.

And since reports are that no police discharged their guns, it was a suicide or other way the BG was stopped.

Once again, the police arrived in time to write reports, not save lives. Anyone who thinks the police will save them is living in LaLa Land.

    That's on the paranoid-sounding side.

And yet absolutely true. A school shooter was stopped by a staff member that ran and got his own gun. In the entire US, only something like three minor stations reported that. The rest only reported Staff convinced him to drop the weapon.

I will find the links if I can.

And paranoia is only paranoia if they are NOT out to get you or you property. If you haven't seen how Anti-Gun the mainstream media is, how they play up taking away evil black guns and disarming the citizen to protect society, while downplaying the loss of your property, the loss of your rights, and the loss of your ability to protect you and yours, well, you haven't been watching and checking their facts.

Just found these - Now tell me this got big play in the media.....

However, assistant principal Joel Myrick had retrieved a .45 pistol from the glove compartment of his truck and subdued Woodham inside his mother's car.
THIS is the one that comes to my mind...... but I don't quite recall this fact being hidden, altough I may be wrong in the initial reporting...

Yeah, I read that story... in the news. There is a difference between something not being big in the news and a conspiracy not to report it. I GUARANTEE that if a private citizen shot that guy you will hear about it on every single network.

I certainly wouldn't put money on it being on every network, or even most networks, but it would come out at some point.

Here's a link. It doesn't take much Googling at all to find more:
Appalachian Law School Shootings - By Ted Lang - Price of Liberty

    Here's my brief summary:
Washington Post: "Three students pounced on the gunman and held him until help arrived." and "The students then tackled the gunman."
CBS News: "... the students then tackled the gunman.’"
NBC News: students "overpowered the gunman and held him until police could arrive."
The author of the media bias article state: "almost all [media outlets] of which covered the story the way the Washington Post and the networks did"
What Actually happened: 2 students pointed their guns at the BG. He dropped his gun and then those 2 plus 1 other student tackled and held him.

Made sure to call of my family within the area once I heard about this. Thankfully everyone is safe and accounted for. My prayers and condolences to those who were injured and the families of those who have lost a loved one. I don't frequent that particular mall often since my home is on the complete opposite side of town but I have been there a handful of times with the GF.

    Current status:

    1 Bad Guy: Dead
    2 Innocents: Dead
1 Innocent: Wounded, serious but stable

Bad guy is tentatively identified but info not released. No LEO discharged weapons so it was either suicide or a private citizen. Mall will be closed tomorrow during investigation. Police are not identifying weapon or number of shots fired or any other particulars of the crime.

Sure glad it was a Gun Free zone.

So I heard one report say his gun jammed, and that he killed himself. No reports of multiple weapons, so his rifle jammed, and then he shot himself? It's not adding up.

I can't even count the number of times I've been to that mall. I grew up with that as my mall of choice. If it wasn't while my mom and sister were at school still teaching, I would have been worried and calling them to make sure they weren't there.

Note to self, if you want to actually hit what you are aiming at, don't wear a Jason mask... 60 shots and only 2 dead? Wow, can you say bad shot? I'm glad he was a terrible shot, but he clearly didn't know what he was doing, or was not actually going for mass casualties. It will be interesting to learn if there was a motive.
