I left organized religion after my pastor preached about how I should vote many years ago. That has nothing to do with how I feel about guns.

I listened to this from start to finish yesterday as I struggled (and am still struggling) to see how someone could do something so horrible as last Friday's events in a town 90 minutes away from me. The pastor makes a lot of sense.

I said it in another thread and I will say it again, as a nation we are morally bankrupt.

Anyone see the news reports following the Fukushima disaster about people turning over private safes to the local PD's, no mass looting, etc? (Evidently many Japanese don't believe in banks). That would never happen here.

Many, including me, have turned in wallets, purses, cash bags, and money found.

Honor is everything to the Japanese, so I can understand them doing this.
If you lose something on the subway in Japan, you WILL find it at the lost and found (as long as it's found by a Japanese person).
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Agreed, as have I, but it is not the norm in this country.
