many Americans need to be educated about guns.

they need to know that only 4% of murders are committed with rifles & shotguns.

Considering the thousands and thousands of DUI deaths yearly, where is all the uproar about alcohol and car control. (Those laws are already on the books but the deaths continue) So much for legislation.

I'd like to add that there has been much talk online and in the media basically equating anyone who has guns or supports gun ownership as violent or embracing violence. For me personally, I detest violence, which is why I purchased firearms...to protect myself and my family from violence. I am 100% less violent than these people who are calling for violence against gun owners and supporters. It's like bizarro world. They are calling for violence against people they are calling violent, because they think they are violent, when they are truly the ones who are not violent. Think about it. Out of this chaos and craziness, expect more chaos and crazy stuff to happen...legislatively and otherwise. Given this call to violence, I have personally been keeping my position on firearms close to my vest.

According to the CDC, the same number of children die every six weeks from alcohol related motor vehicle accidents than died in the horrible tragedy in CT. Every 6 weeks, every year, year after year.

Unbelievable. I have no doubt the conversation with RISP wasn't very pleasant for Mr. Loomis.

I'm not sure what I'm more tired of people blaming the gun or blaming an organization, but this person actions just outright takes the cake.

The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

This is spot on. But somehow people think that the death of the children last week, is more tragic than the other more dangerous & more preventable tragedies that happen every day.
