He would have probably gotten 15 to 20 years if he had killed all three of them. The sad thing is, had that happened he would be out in 5 years. I never will get over reading about some POS that murders someone AFTER serving time for murdering someone else.Originally Posted by JackMs

I am glad the mother and her children are ok. I guess I cannot get a grasp of why a man would want to beat a woman or their children.

Any deadly shooting is a tragedy at so many levels, but this armed woman did exactly what she had to do and she and her children will hopefully live long productive lives because she acted appropriately.

I don't think any sane person would argue that .380 is deadly, but the guy did leave and then collapse in the yard. Had he been a badder dude and more intent on harming her he may have killed her before collapsing. Better a .380 than nothing, for sure. Glad it worked out well for her.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Well, she just shot him once. That stopped the threat. I suspect if he had not stopped she would have fired again, and again, till he did stop. So the little .380 saved the day. Good for her.

This guy had numerous chances to learn his lesson.....he finally did the hard & final way...DeadBanana.gif some say every life is special & precious in it's own way, not seeing it with Earnest here ...So glad she survided to be there for her kids.
