What a bad, bad move for that resturant. I bet we hear the apology and retraction before long.
Around here, resturants love it when uniformed officers come into the resturant. Most of them get some sort of discount, free coffee, dessert etc. just as a thank you for their service.

When I worked in the restaurant business, Police Officers were encouraged to eat with us.
We liked having armed presence inside the building!

Too bad his Employees might have to suffer the same fate.

There is not much I can ad to this other than I think the manager is not the brightest bulb in the socket.

It would be great if the first words the Police Officer that responses to a robbery call at that Denny's was to ask the Manager what did the robber say to you when you told him he had to take his weapon out to his car or leave the restaurant.![]()

Seems this Denny's has reached out to the Belleville PD and apologized for the actions of the manager. No word on if the manager is still employed or not.
